Kamisado is a game of pure skill and strategy! There are no dice, cards or any other chance element. It’s just you against your opponent! The aim in each round is to be the first to get an octagonal ‘dragon tower’ to the opposite side of the board. On each turn you can move a tower any number of spaces, but the twist is that you can only move a tower if its colour matches the colour of the square that your opponent last moved to. 
 
The rules are simple. Move a tower any number of spaces in a straight line, forwards or diagonally forwards. But the colour of the square you land on determines which tower your opponent moves next. The gameplay is identical to that for Kamisado Classic, but the artwork and the ‘look and feel’ of the game components is very different. As the game unfolds, your towers will be promoted to ‘Sumos’, and will have the ability to push your opponent’s pieces backwards, earning you extra turns. The situations continue to become more complex and challenging, until one player accumulates the required winning total.
 
The original version of Kamisado Original was included in the Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year, Germany) Recommendation List (Empfehlungsliste) in 2010. Spiel des Jahres was created in 1978 with the stated purpose of rewarding excellence in game design, and promoting top-quality games in the German market (Wikipedia).
